Have you wondered what the recipe for Caroline's Udderly Smooth Hand Repair balm is? Well, we've decided to share it with you. :)

Eating the best yogurt pancakes.

Caroline started making her balms and selling them in the Promise Valley Farm store in Duncan after she discovered the recipe herself and found that it worked so well on her skin -- and the skin of her family -- especially during the long winter months. They have become quite popular at the store, so we have decided to share the recipe so that you can make it yourself.

The Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp calendula-infused oil

  • 1 oz shea butter (about 2 tbsp)

  • 1 oz beeswax, cut into pieces (about 1/4 cup)

  • 1/8 tsp vitamin E oil

  • 12 drops tea tree oil

  • 6 drops peppermint essential oil

Instructions

1.Place first 5 ingredients in an 8-oz wide-mouth canning jar

2. Place jar in the top of a double broiler and add water so that jar is sitting in about 1" of water. Heat until mixture is melted together.

3. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients, stirring to combine.

And, that's it!

Whether you've never made your own skincare before or are a seasoned expert, we hope you enjoy making this balm and trying it out on your skin. In these winter months where our skin can become dry and cracked, a gentle moisturizing balm with clean ingredients is something of a luxury. :)

Happy DIY-ing from all of us at Promise Valley!
