October is a month of gratitude, family, and enjoying fall's bounty. During the month of October, we're launching a fall cooking challenge to bring our community together over good, local food that will become a digital cookbook available for you to download!

We’re so thankful to be able to produce on our farm healthy + nutritious milk and yogurt that’s good for us and all of your families here in the Cowichan Valley. And, we’re even more thankful for all the other farmers who work so many long hours to provide us with fresh, organic produce and other good food! 

 

As Thanksgiving approaches, and with it a shift in season where we can slow down and enjoy the bounty harvested, we want to highlight all the blessings that we are so grateful for here at Promise Valley Farm.

For the month of October, we’re compiling a digital cookbook!

 

For this, we’d like to ask for your expertise. We don’t want this cookbook to be just what we like; but rather, to make it a community cookbook with all of your favourite recipes, too. Over the upcoming month, we’re asking you to share your favourite recipe(s) that you’ve made using our milk and/or yogurt. (If your recipes include more local ingredients, the better!) If we love your recipe, we’ll put it into the cookbook and credit you. 

 

To participate: make and post a photo of your dish, baked good, etc. to your Instagram, include the recipe (or link to the recipe), tag us at @promisevalleyfarm, and use our dedicated #promisevalleyeats hashtag so that everyone can follow along all month. We’ll be taking new recipes posted in the month of October only, but of course feel free to post your favourite recipes anytime you want to. :)
